Summary:A case-control study in the Russian population of the Altai District showed that increased risk of multiple sclerosis was associated with DR15 and DR3 and the combination of the female gender and the A allele of the rs1800629 TNF α gene. There was no association between the occurrence of this disease and polymorphism of the CD40 gene (rs60764022).
