Summary: | Im et al present a harmonic balance method that is applied to periodic unsteady flow problems. To reduce the computational cost and enhance the convergence characteristics, the diagonalized alternating direction implicit scheme was applied to the time integration. A two-dimensional airfoil and a three-dimensional wing in the pitching motion were applied to verify the performance of the present method with the multigrid method as convergence acceleration technique. |
