Summary:It is well known how much effort and time was put in by V.V. Dokuchaev to disseminate knowledge about the soils of Russia, new principles and methods of their study, and their agricultural use and assessment. Among his numerous works, reports, and articles in journals and newspapers, a large place is occupied by Dokuchaevs works concerning his participation in various public and international exhibitions at which the results of soil studies were demonstrated: soil maps, patterns of soils and soil forming rocks, explanatory records, and characteristics of them.
