Summary:Based on the outstanding integrate properties of both cyanate ester (CE) and phosphate aluminum (AlPO(4)), AlPO(4)/CE composites were designed and prepared in this work by employing the "composite technology". The effects of the coupling agent type and AlPO(4) content on the properties of the new composites are discussed. Results show that different coupling agents have different effects on the interfacial adhesion between AlPO(4) and CE. AlPO(4)(KH-550) and AlPO(4)(KH-560) have stronger interfacial effects than AlPO(4)(H-2), and AlPO(4)(KH-550)/CE has the optimum properties among the three composites. Moreover, AlPO(4)(KH-550)/CE composite with desirable AlPO(4)(KH-550) content has better properties than CE resin.
