Mossbauer Investigations of the 0.5BaTiO sub(3)-0.5(Ni,Zn)Fe sub(2)O sub(4) Composites

A detailed Mossbauer study was performed in the ceramic composite 0.5BaTiO sub(3)- 0.5Ni sub(0.5)Zn sub(0.5)Fe sub(2)O sub(4) in order to detect an indirect magnetoelectric coupling via possible Mossbauer spectra anomalies around the barium titanate phase transitions. Dielectric spectra show the exi...

Description
Summary:A detailed Mossbauer study was performed in the ceramic composite 0.5BaTiO sub(3)- 0.5Ni sub(0.5)Zn sub(0.5)Fe sub(2)O sub(4) in order to detect an indirect magnetoelectric coupling via possible Mossbauer spectra anomalies around the barium titanate phase transitions. Dielectric spectra show the existence of three phase transitions in this composite near the crystal BaTiO sub(3) phase transitions temperatures. A few irregularities in the temperature dependence of the centre shift of Mossbauer spectra were observed near the phase transitions of BaTiO sub(3) which are explained mainly by the contribution of iron atoms incorporated into BaTiO sub(3) or located at the ceramic grain boundaries.
