Properties of a Ti-Ni-Nb alloy for producing thermomechanical couplings

The temperature ranges of the martensitic transformations and the shape recovery characteristics of a Ti-45% Ni-10% Nb alloy have been studied. The possibility of using the alloy for producing thermomechanical couplings connecting pipelines up to 25 mm in diameter is supported.
