Summary: | This article considers the techniques of presentation used by noted English photographer Frederick H. Evans (1853-1943). The research has been conducted within the holdings of five North American collections: George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film in Rochester, NY; the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and Hans P. Kraus, Jr. Gallery in New York City; and the Canadian Center for Architecture, in Montréal. I plan to continue this work in European collections early in 2010. |
