One hundred thirty five individuals, women and men, with age higher than 18 years, were evaluated. Were collected demographic data (age, types of physical activity practiced, time and weekly), anthropometric (weight and height) and body image (body satisfaction). The results pointed: i) There was no significant difference about the levels of body satisfaction between the types of physical activity practiced, for women and men; ii) Male practitioners of water activities showed higher frequency of body dissatisfaction than male bodybuilding practitioners; iii) There was a positive correlation between BMI and body dissatisfaction; iv) There was no correlation between age and body dissatisfaction. In conclusion, the body satisfaction, in relation about men, can be related with choice of the modality practiced, fact not observed between women in this study.
