Description
Summary:The present climatic changes force a new planning for the energy policies and production systems including nuclear energy. The nuclear energy production and diversity in the policy of nuclear fuel usage must be entirely analyzed against the benefits of not only a single country but also the world globally. In this study, Thorium Molten-Salt Nuclear Energy Synergetic (THORIMS-NES) being ideal for nuclear non-proliferation, safety, radioactive waste, and solution of problems regarding the environment, energy and poverty in the world is proposed for the safe and sustainable nuclear industry. In the study a new, more simplified, highly efficient, economical and safe molten salt nuclear power station (MSR) named FUJI is presented, initially constructing from the smaller reactor miniFUJI. The world resources of thorium as a primary energy source are discussed to implement this new type MSR system around the world by considering the next generations.
