The importance of performance measures is outlined. The contribution of business process analysis software to operations management is explained. The role of models in the 5 stages of process-oriented business system analysis projects, namely, change justification, change definition, change refinement, implementation and operation, is described. Business processes analysis, technology evaluation and evaluation of the impact of process re-engineering are briefly explained. Data capture and the use of GIS software to manage spatial data as an aid to effective business process modelling is considered. Utility applications of GIS are listed. |
