Summary: | Physical examinations and laboratory analyses performed did not provide enough information for diagnosis. [...]brain imaging was the next diagnostic tool. Brain lesions such as meningioma, schwannoma, and solitary fibrous tumor must be differentiated from BML of the brain, and histopathological investigation along with immunohistochemistry can confirm the smooth muscle origin of this benign tumor. Fibroma, thecoma, leiomyosarcoma and spindle cell carcinoma are some ovarian tumors that must be differentiated when diagnosing ovarian masses; immunohistochemical staining is the most widely used tool. |
