Enhanced production of extracellular β-glucosidase by Penicillium funiculosum in submerged culture
Cultural conditions are described for production of high extracellular beta -glucosidase activity by P. funiculosum and its hypersecretive mutant Cu-1. In a medium favouring pH maintenance at levels above 4.5, supplemented with 3% rice bran or defatted oil cakes, extracellular beta -glucosidase acti...

Summary: | Cultural conditions are described for production of high extracellular beta -glucosidase activity by P. funiculosum and its hypersecretive mutant Cu-1. In a medium favouring pH maintenance at levels above 4.5, supplemented with 3% rice bran or defatted oil cakes, extracellular beta -glucosidase activity ranged from 30-36 IU.ml super(-1) which is among the highest reported for fungi. |
