Description
Summary:Surface seawater measurements of 239+240 Pu, 238 Pu, 241 Am and 137 Cs have been carried out in the North Sea and western Atlantic. Statistical analysis demonstrated that the discharges by fuel reprocessing plants in the UK are affecting plutonium activities in these sea areas. A difference in behaviour of americium to plutonium was also observed.
