Summary:Organochlorine pesticides and PCB's in purple heron and spoon duck collected in the biological reserve of coto donana, Spain, during 1972-74 are reported. None of the individual organochlorine residues detected reaches accumulations sufficient to cause any rapid decrease in bird populations. DDT level is higher than that of other pesticide residues found. PCB's constitute the main source of pollution.
