A review of the North American genus Aphonus Leconte (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Dynastinae)

The North American genus Aphonus LeConte is reviewed. Six species are recognized. A new species from Texas, U.S.A., Aphonus texanus, is described and illustrated. A key to the species and illustrations of the genitalia are presented.
