Description
Summary:We report a 40 year-old male presenting in the emergency room with headache, vertigo and left hemiparesis. A magnetic resonante imaging reported a left cerebellar infarction with occlusion of the basilar artery and a dissection of the right vertebral artery. The patient experienced a clinical deterioration with the appearance of a right hemiparesis. Therefore a brain angiography was performed along with a mechanical thrombolysis using a Solitaire FR® revascularization device. A thrombus located in the distal third of the artery was eliminated obtaining a complete perfusión of the artery. The patient had a satisfactory evolution.
