Formation of polybrominated dibenzofurans during extrusion of high-impact polystyrene/decabromodiphenyl ether/antimony(III) oxide

The formation of polybrominated dibenzofurans (PBDFs) during extrusion processing in terms of thermal stability of the high-impact polystyrene polymer matrix and flame retardant activity of brominated diphenyl ethers is discussed. Results show that formation of PBDFs is initiated by a thermal degrad...

Description
Summary:The formation of polybrominated dibenzofurans (PBDFs) during extrusion processing in terms of thermal stability of the high-impact polystyrene polymer matrix and flame retardant activity of brominated diphenyl ethers is discussed. Results show that formation of PBDFs is initiated by a thermal degradation of polystyrene.
