Haze and sulfur emission trends in the eastern United States
A comparison of regional and seasonal trends of eastern US haze and the corresponding SO(x) emission trends is presented. Sulfates, associated ammonium ion and water make up the cause of visibility degradation by regional-scale haze in the eastern US.
