A comparison of tomato fruit chloroplast and chromoplast DNAs as analyzed with restriction endonucleases
Chromoplast DNA was isolated from ripe-red tomato fruits, and its structure compared with that of chloroplast DNAs from mature green fruits and leaves. There was a good correspondence between the structures analyzed by BamHI or EcoRI digestion and by hybridization with a probe for the gene of the ri...

Summary: | Chromoplast DNA was isolated from ripe-red tomato fruits, and its structure compared with that of chloroplast DNAs from mature green fruits and leaves. There was a good correspondence between the structures analyzed by BamHI or EcoRI digestion and by hybridization with a probe for the gene of the ribulose 1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase large subunit. |
