Optimization and characterization of an extracellular polysaccharide produced by Moniliella pollinis
A yeast strain Moniliella pollinis produces an extracellular highly viscous gum-like polysaccharide of glucan type in a simple mineral medium. Optimum conditions for its production and properties are described. The viscosity decreased after lyophilization.
