Summary: | This study describes the heterogeneous catalysed continuous synthesis of gamma -valerolactone (GVL) using a continuous-flow reactor, H-Cube registered and H-Cube Pro(TM), equipped with 5% Ru/C, 10% Pd/C and RANEY registered Ni CatCart registered . The highest yield of GVL was achieved by using 5% Ru/C in the presence of 0.015 mol L super(-1) Bu-P(C sub(6)H sub(4)-m-SO sub(3)Na) sub(2) ligand under 100 bar H sub(2) at 100 degree C. |
