Description
Summary:Concentrations of formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, and acetone were measured at the tropospheric ozone research field station in southern Germany in September 1992, focusing on the transport processes on a regional scale and the production of photooxidants. The mixing ratios of formaldehyde ranged 0.2 2.8 ppb, with the highest levels generally observed during the daytime. All three carbonyl compounds exhibited similar diurnal variations. Photochemical production was related to that of PAN, showing that approximately 1.4 molecules of formaldehyde were produced for each molecule of PAN.
