Morphometric variation and the geographical origin of the damson-hop aphid, Phorodon humuli (Schrank) (Hemiptera:Aphididae)
Individual morphological measurements were made on clones of the damson-hop aphid, Phorodon humuli (Schrank), originally obtained from hop plants in various geographical locations in the U.K. Analysis of the coefficients of variation for each character measured showed that the values for each morpho...

Summary: | Individual morphological measurements were made on clones of the damson-hop aphid,
Phorodon humuli (Schrank), originally obtained from hop plants in various geographical locations in the U.K. Analysis of the coefficients of variation for each character measured showed that the values for each morphological character differed between sites, as did the overall variability profile for each clone of aphid. Spatial autocorrelation analysis of the aphids suggested that there was no interdependence between the value of a morphological character at one location compared with the value of that at another. |
