Summary:In a group of marijuana smokers in Chile, the frequency of chromosome aberrations was determined and compared to controls. The structural aberrations analyzed included chromatid and chromosome-type breaks. The marijuana smokers and nonsmokers had similar cigarette-smoking and drinking habits. No significant differences in the frequency or type of chromosome aberrations were found between the two groups.
