Analysis of Long-Term Measurements of Airborne Concentrations of Sulphur Dioxide and SO sub(4) super(2-) in the Rural United Kingdom
At nine rural monitoring sites in the UK, sulfur dioxide and sulfate aerosol were measured simultaneously over the period 1979 95. Here, the long-term data are analyzed. For each of the sites, daily-average concentration values for all the years are plotted and a regression line fitted to each of th...

Summary: | At nine rural monitoring sites in the UK, sulfur dioxide and sulfate aerosol were measured simultaneously over the period 1979 95. Here, the long-term data are analyzed. For each of the sites, daily-average concentration values for all the years are plotted and a regression line fitted to each of the nine scatter plots. Results show a reasonable degree of correlation between the concentration data for SO sub(2) and S sub(4) super(2)- with the correlation similar for the individual sites and for all sites combined. |
