Summary: | I believe the term 'Arab Spring' is just and appropriate. The comparison between the seasons and the uprising was used to suggest the blossoming of a revolution. Following Spring is Summer, the time to bloom, sunshine and positivity, which I believe followed with the ousting of Mubarak in Egypt, for one, and following Summer is the season of Autumn, a cool, crisp reality that Winter is coming. This is represented by the 'peace' talks in Palestine, hope for a better future but in reality, a cold harsh future ahead. But a new year will most certainly arrive. |
