Summary: | The Indiana County Municipal Services Authority had developed a circuit-riding system to operate and maintain 8 sewage works, mostly package extended aeration works treating 45-95 m3 per day. Two operators routinely operated 5 of the works on 3 days a week and the other 3 weekly or monthly. The other 2 days were used for maintenance. Home owners and commercial customers paid 12.60-18.00 and 25-150 U.S. dollars per month, respectively, for operator services. Works performances are discussed. |
