Description
Summary:In general, such monitoring does not happen. One reason is that EPA has not required regular stack or ambient monitoring, nor even approved modeling methods, for air toxics. Proven, standardized measuring practices are essential for tracking the low concentrations at which these compounds typically are found. Without such methods, data quality and comparability cannot be assured, and our knowledge base remains too flawed for effective regulatory action.
