Summary:Five named species presently placed in the genus Capnia are placed in the genus Capnura Banks and two new species are described. Generic diagnoses, descriptions, figures, and keys are presented to facilitate identification. A cladistic analysis is presented including characters used and a cladogram. The species placed in this genus include Capnura venosa, C. elevata, C. wanica, C. fibula, C. manitoba, and two new species, C. intermontana and C. anas.
