Summary:The influence of cytokinine on the biochemical profile of Lipaphis erysimi was investigated. The culture of L. erysimi was maintained on radish plants, Raphanus sativus Linn. in glass house under a constant photoperiod regime of 10L:14D and RH60-70m percent . The supernatant was used for estimation of enzyme activity. The decrease in absorbance was recorded at 420 nm at a constant temperature of 30 plus or minus 1 degree C. Six replicates were taken for each experiment and the data was analyzed using student's t test. It was found that the activity of glutathione reductase was suppressed with the treatment. It was also observed that the activity of glutathione reductase increased during the normal development of L. erysimi.
