Summary: | Large numbers of cherries naturally infested by larvae of the western cherry fruit fly (WCFF), Rhagoletis indifferens Curran, were collected for research projects at Yakima, Wash. In June 1980 and again in June and July 1985. In 1980, fiberboard trays containing fruit were stacked in a shaded area outside of the laboratory. A total of 5,964 pupal parasites, Pachycrepoideus vindemiae (Rondani), (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae) emerged from 26,500 WCFF puparia. |
