Role of complementary E sub(2) and D sub(2) sites in the reaction between fibrin and fibrinogen

Summary: | The influence of fibrinogen on two stages of the process of polymerization of two forms of fibrin, differing in the set of polymerization sites (fibrin-desAA and fibrin-desAABB), was studied. It was concluded that the high sensitivity of fibrin-desAABB to fibrinogen is due to interaction of the active site E sub(2) with the site D sub(2) in the fibrinogen molecule. The concentration dependence of the inactivating effect of the tetrapeptide Gly-His-Arg-Pro on fibrinogen was investigated, along with the influence of temperature and Ca super(2+) ions on the interaction of the tetrapeptide with fibrinogen. |
