Summary: | Vapor pressure data are reported for solid absorbents commonly employed in solar refrigeration systems. Solubility characteristics and other data are given for lithium bromide-water, calcium chloride-ammonia, lithium nitrate-ammonia, and other absorbents. The combinations of calcium chloride-ammonia and lithium nitrate-ammonia have large negative deviations from raoult's law and high solubility characteristics. This makes them suitable for refrigeration and air conditioning requirements in tropical conditions. ( 3 graphs, 9 references, 3 tables, ) |
