Synthesis and Characterization of One-Dimensional Cu(II) Coordination Polymer in Bulk and Nano Scales: New Precursor for Preparation of Cu(II) Oxide Nanoparticles
The hydrothermal reaction of copper(II) acetate and 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid (btcH 3 ) leads to the formation of a coordination polymer, [Cu(btcH)(H 2 0) 3 ] n ( 1 ). The product was characterized by elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy. Nanoparticles of coordination polymer ( 1 ) have been...

as a precursor leads to the formation of CuO nanoparticles. Characterization of the CuO nanoparticles was carried out using IR spectroscopy, powder XRD and scanning electron microscopy. This study demonstrates that the coordination polymers may be suitable precursors for the preparation of nanoscale materials. |
