The Isolation and Identification of 5,6-trans -25-Hydroxyvitamin D sub(3) From the Plasma of Rats Dosed With Vitamin D sub(3). Evidence for a Novel Mechanism in the Metabolism of Vitamin D sub(3)
The authors report the isolation and identification of a major new metabolite of D sub(3) from the plasma of D-deficient hypocalcemic rats administered D sub(3) orally, and suggest a possible role for it in the metabolism of vitamin D.
