Summary: | [...]it would be interesting to review the recruitment email that was sent to the practitioners, including the title of the survey, in order to ascertain if there were further threats to validity based on the wording of the email and survey title. Because the results of this survey were analyzed using an item response theory model assessing Likert scale (ordinal) data as interval data, additional data (percentages and ns) for the information presented in Table 2 would have offered further support of the reported findings and the uncommon, novel use of parametric t-tests for ordinal survey items [5]. Curriculum design, more specifically medical education curricula, is not effective using a "one-size-fits-all" approach [6]. [...]while the instructional strategy preferences elicited from this single study item are helpful, very little is offered in terms of improving teaching of the various components of neurology in the future. |
