Summary:The three major components of setal exudate from nymphs of the Hawthorn lace bug, Corythucha cydoniae , were identified as 3,6-dihydroxy-2-(1-oxo-6(E),8(E)-tetradecadienyl)-cyclohex-2-en-1- one; 3,6-dihydroxy-2-(1-oxo-dodecanyl)-cyclohex-2-en-1-one; 3,6-dihydroxy-2-(1-oxo-8-dodecenyl)-cyclohex-2-en-1-one. An additional 10 minor components were partially characterized.
