Summary:The present paper describes the 2 new species, Pseudocyclops kulai and P. minya , captured in the Gulf of Carpentaria, Australia. All specimens were collected in samples taken by hauling a plankton net of 142 mu m mesh size from near-bottom through the water column to the sea surface. Details of the sampling procedure and related sample data are given in Rothlisberg & Jackson (1982). All specimens were examined and dissected in glycerine/water and drawings were made using a Leitz HM-LUX with the aid the a camera lucida.
