Summary: | There is a need for more information on use of space to understand the distribution and behavior of cottontail rabbits (Sylvilagus floridanus ) and management of habitats. The purpose of our study was to determine the relation of sex and season to variation in the spatial distribution and home range of cottontail rabbits in central Pennsylvania through 2 consecutive years. The study was conducted on 104 ha of the Toftrees section of State Game Lands 176, Centre Co., approximately 5 km NW State College, Pennsylvania (40 degree 50'N, 77 degree 53'W). |
