Description
Summary:The authors describe a rapid and through procedure for sorting the stomach contents of marine mammals, which retrieves all or nearly all the fish otoliths and cephalopod statoliths. A corollary method for retrieving the identifiable components from intestinal contents and pinniped scats is also described. Both methods are applicable to research on the feeding habits of other piscivorous animals.
