Description
Summary:The signification of Romanian literary onomastics was analyzed in different contexts, being created the conditions for a systematic approach of the field in the present theoretical context. Thus, in the field of folkloric literature the name of Manea in the ballad "Toma Alimos", was associated with the "manna" of the fields, the name Miorija had already been discussed by Al. Odobescu or H. Sanielevici in relation with the Greek "Moira". G. Ibraileanu's studies about the signification of the proper names in I. L. Caragiale's theatre are well-known--and about the name of Hyperion in M. Eminescu's poem "Luceafarul" ("Evening Star") many were written during the time. An entire onomastic thesaurus is waiting for being arranged and reopened in the area of cultural anthropology, as a precious achievement.
