Description
Summary:The flea beetle, Lysathia flavipes (Boheman), caused heavy damage to water primrose, Ludwigia peploides (H.B.K.) Raven, and moderate damage to parrotfeather, Myriophyllum aquaticum (Velloso) Verde, in nature in Argentina. In the laboratory, it fed on these two plants and slightly on four other plant species, among 32 plant species tested. Both larvae and adults fed on the leaves. The eggs were laid in masses on the leaves and the pupae attached themselves to the leaves. The life cycle required about 20 days from egg to adult.
