Tunable 3D dielectric resonator using a thermoconductive VO sub( 2) material
A temperature-based tunable dielectric resonator is presented showing a tunability of 20 MHz around 11.8 GHz when heated with a drop of the quality factor from 4000 to 286. The puck-shaped alumina resonator contains a thin sapphire sheet coated with VO sub( 2). An overview of the thermoconductive VO...

Summary: | A temperature-based tunable dielectric resonator is presented showing a tunability of 20 MHz around 11.8 GHz when heated with a drop of the quality factor from 4000 to 286. The puck-shaped alumina resonator contains a thin sapphire sheet coated with VO sub( 2). An overview of the thermoconductive VO sub( 2) material used is presented. The design and simulations of the resonator are presented along with the fabricated structure and measurements. |
