Summary:Our aim was determine cardiovascular risk in HIV Mexican patients according to Framingham score after starting antiretroviral therapy. A retrospective study was conducted from March 1 to August 30 2012, at Hospital de Infectologia 'La Raza' National Medical Center in Mexico City. We enrolled HIV naive infected patients and we followed-up until week 48. HIV treatment naive Mexican population had a mild increase of cardiovascular risk by Framingham score after 48 weeks of antiretroviral therapy. An increase of triglycerides, cholesterol and BMI were common in this population.
