Kinetics of the reaction of ozone with 2,4,6-trichlorophenol

The kinetics of the aqueous phase reaction between ozone and 2,4,6-trichlorophenol was studied in this work using a wetted-sphere absorber. Ozone absorption rates into an aqueous solution of trichlorophenol were interpreted to give an expression for the second-order kinetic rate constant as k 2 = 8....

Description
Summary:The kinetics of the aqueous phase reaction between ozone and 2,4,6-trichlorophenol was studied in this work using a wetted-sphere absorber. Ozone absorption rates into an aqueous solution of trichlorophenol were interpreted to give an expression for the second-order kinetic rate constant as k 2 = 8.19 × 10 21 exp(−11630/ T) l/g mol s. Stoichiometry experiments showed that one mole of ozone reacts with one mole of 2,4,6-trichlorophenol.
