The radiation environment in near-earth space as treated in terms of different model representations

An attempt is made in this work to estimate the accuracy of the computational models relevant to galactic cosmic rays and radiation belt particles. The galactic cosmic ray dose and LET and the radiation belt particle dose are the extensively used characteristics which are compared with each other. T...

Description
Summary:An attempt is made in this work to estimate the accuracy of the computational models relevant to galactic cosmic rays and radiation belt particles. The galactic cosmic ray dose and LET and the radiation belt particle dose are the extensively used characteristics which are compared with each other. The final conclusion concerning the accuracy of the models is drawn from comparing between the calculated and experimental values of the characteristics.
