Summary: | A newly designed ejector was used for the sampling and dilution of fine mode aerosol particles from flue gases. The dry, filtered dilution air in the outermost annulus was heated by the flue gas and the counterflowing diluted aerosol stream and the ejector head was held at the flue gas through the capillary tube. Low sulfur content coal and straw from wheat were used as fuel. The co-firing of coal and straw results in a fine mode aerosol with a number concentration of 5 multiplied by 10 super(7) particles/Ncm super(3). |
