Summary:With the continued increase in energy cost, both present and future dwellings, as well as public and office buildings, will be designed or altered to conserve heat and refrigeration. All of these changes call for the application of both existing and novel characterization and control techniques which have been adopted to and evaluated for the nonindustrial setting. This article, aims to supply a basis for understanding indoor air pollution problems, and also characterization and control of indoor air pollutants.
