Description
Summary:Sublethal doses of palytoxin were i.p. injected repeatedly to mice, and the effects on lymphoid tissues were examined. The weight and morphology of the thymus were influenced during exposure but had generally recovered after 1 month of withdrawal. The ratio of lymphocytes to total leukocytes in blood was decreased during the injection term, and did not recover to a normal level even after 1 month of withdrawal. The component of B-cells in the lymphocytes was clarified as being responsible for the small number of lymphocytes in the recovery process.
