Description
Summary:The activities of Advisory Service for Irrigator - SAI's Project have been developed in Baixo Acaraú Irrigation District - DIBAU, Ceará. The main objective is to transfer the information to the irrigator message by: cell phone, email and the web site. After registration was completed, a software performs the calculations required for sending information daily and provides a true social network between management of the district and the irrigators. This study has evaluated the use of the initial submission of information: Irrigation Time - IT, to the irrigators of the DIBAU. The research tried to determine the system working, the sending and reception of information through SMS, from August 2012 to April 2013, for producers enrolled in the SAI. It was verified the possible causes of variation in the amount of messages sent to the producers by the SAI, and errors in the system. We concluded that differences in transmission could be explained by the development and software versions in sync and the generation of information. The system must be used as an important tool for irrigation management.
